Naples Theatre Festival.com is a website about Naples and the Theatre Festival that will be held in June 2008. Use this website to collect information and give people suggestions on Naples and the plays that will be presented.
The stage is set for the first edition of the theatre festival in Naples. Naples will become the international theatre capital from June 6th to the 29th thanks to a project initiated by the Cultural Heritage Ministry and sponsored by the Campania Region, Province and City of Naples.
The “Napoli Teatro Festival Italia”, an international event with the twofold intention of favouring the spreading of a theatre culture among the young and also opening up the city of Naples to major international cultural trends, will involve 15 countries and more than 2000 artists in 200 shows and 38 debuts.
The plays will be held in 30 locations around Naples, places with a special historical or monumental prestige. The most important theatres of the City of Naples are also involved and some of these theatres are active sponsors of the Festival but there are also other sites hosting the Festival such as the “Albergo dei Poveri”, “Maschio Angioino”, “Villa Comunale”, “Castel dell’Ovo”, “Darsena Acton” and the Palace in nearby Caserta.
